Run In: the famous Mont Saint-Michel Marathon
This internationally renowned event is one of the most beautiful marathons in the world. Just picture the runners arriving at the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Mont Saint-Michel and its bay! This major event brings together thousands of marathoners. The marathon begins in Cancale and ends at the gates of Mont Saint-Michel, near the Couesnon dam.

There’s no shortage of festivals in the Bay Area! On terraces, in theatres, or in the streets: there are many events and shows throughout the entire year.
The Granville Carnival
This is the first big event of the year. It draws an ever-growing crowd and is held in celebration of Mardi Gras. The carnival has been recently inscribed on UNESCO’s List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. A funfair with parade floats, bands, etc.
Jazz en Baie
Mont Saint-Michel Bay hosts more than 40 concerts along over 35 km of coastline. Granville, Saint-Pair, Carolles, Genêts, and many other towns feature evening concerts; from July to August.
Nuit des Soudeurs
This unconventional festival takes place at dusk at the port of Granville. Occurring in early August, it is a popular event. The festival features welders and artists who make works of art out of scrap metal!
Sorties de Bains
This street arts festival takes place in July and is free of charge. Bands, theatrical sketches, comedians, music, dance, and numerous other surprises await spectators.
This outdoor cinema is in the Parc du Val-es-Fleur in Granville. It’s an enjoyable family activity in the months of July and August.
